N00B Question (no hate please lol)

i live in canada..would this work for mine?
i don't have a phone plan or anything
i jail broke mine to use mostly for a MP3 after my contract ran out.
but i find myself using my iphone to keep in touch with friends when i am near a Wifi connection

Well since you are on an official carrier but hactivated then yes this should work for you. However you will only receive push when you are on those wifi locations and may have trouble at certain times receiving push because it mostly relies on cell data then wifi data.

i am on no official carrier....i don't use my phone as a phone but more of an ipod with a camera.
i was just asking because some times, apps and what not will only work in the usa
and it just had a n00b thought that it could be the same with this app.
but come to find out there is a guy in my town that has finished a push forwarding app and is going to give me a copy of it...

only rogers out here, but i bought my phone from a friend to use as a ipod....so it wasn't unlocked

i was looking at the buy option and i don't have a sim card
with the whole dial #06# thing...
can i even get this then?

The *#06# gives the ID of the phone itself, not the SIM. You do not need a SIM to purchase, nor to use push notifications.
